Ratmalana Welfare Asssociation inviting new members
View(s):Established in 1968, the Ratmalana Welfare Association has provided welfare amenities to residents and a children’s playground for the recreational needs of the children.

Deputy Mayor of Dehiwela-Mount Lavinia Kesaralal Gunasekera, praised the work of the Association saying “Last year, I had the pleasure of joining you all in the customary Avurudu Uthsavaya and also in some other engagements involving municipality work. It was indeed refreshing to note the commitment and the vision of your dynamic membership in working towards community goals, however challenging they may be.”

Having celebrated its 46th Anniversary, the Ratmalana Welfare Association is now inviting more members to join the Association to rally towards providing a better quality of life for the residents.
The Honorary President of the Association, Ravi Arunthavanathan, has made an appeal in his message saying “With the unstinted cooperation of the executive committee and our membership we have been able to conduct our customary Avurudu Uthsavaya and carry out quite an extensive anti-Dengue campaign partnering the Dehiwela – Mt. Lavinia Municipality. Of course, the much looked forward to end of year event is the family get together. In fact, we were able to generate a fair income too from the latter, that could be channelled towards our welfare work.”
Public support and recognition of this Association would indeed help it to continue its sterling efforts towards community development.
