CCC outclassed the fancied Ragama CC outfit by seven wickets with a session of play of day three and a day to spare in their four day Premier Super Eight cricket encounter concluded at the NCC ground yesterday.

CCC having dominated the first two days of play continued in the same pattern on the third as Ragama CC was unable to make any headway.

The Ragama CC innings lasted only one session and was bowled out for 248. But the target of 138 runs they set for CCC was too easy.
In CCC’s run chase a fine 89 runs stand for the third wicket between Lasith Abeyratne and Indika de Saran paved the way for their win. Lasith remained unbeaten on 67 and Indika made a quick fire 47 runs in 30 balls.

Moors SC looked set to record an outright win over SLPA CC when play on day two in the match played at the Colts ground. The morning session of play on day three saw Moors SC batting for the second time making a declaration having made 261 for 9 at tea.
SLPA CC set a massive target of 437 runs for victory with a session of play of day three and the final days of play left to achieve it was struggling on 136 for 5.

NCC resuming from their overnight score of 304 for 6 went on to pile up a mammoth score off 436 against Tamil Union at the end of the first session of play in the match played at Reid Avenue.

NCC was guided by a knock of 112 by Jehan Mubarak and half tons by Kosala Kulasekera and Tharindu Kaushal. Tamil Union in their turn ended the day on 219 for 6.

SSC was on top against Army SC as they have already taken a first inning lead after bowling out Army for a score of 189 they ended their innings making a massive score of 435.
