No sacrifice but goats keep coming

Despite a decision by the Munneswaram Sri Badrakali Amman Kovil to suspend animal sacrifices following widespread protest, devotees still continue to bring sacrificial animals to fulfil their vows during the ongoing festival. Picture shows a family bringing a goat to the temple where police barriers have been set up and police are on guard to prevent any incidents such as the violence that took place last year.
