Reputed lyricist Rathna Sri Wijesinghe who made an enormous contribution to Sri Lankan music will be felicitated with musical show at Nelum Pokuna. Mahinda Rajapaksa Theatre in Colombo on today, June 2.
Celebrating 40 years in music, more than 30 songs penned by Rathnasri will be sung at the show titled ‘Rathna Sri Ulpatha Pamula’.
Music directed by Rohana Weerasinghe, at the show two DVDs with his songs produced by Sri Lanka Rupavahini and a book with the biographic details of the wordsmith and musical notation of his songs will also be released.
