Important facts about A/Level
According to UGC statistics around 23,000 students are selected out of around approximately 240,000 candidates in 2012 A/Level examination. Out of these students 128,809 students have qualified for university, among them 8,544 students have obtained 3A passes. However due to limited resources in the local higher education system A/Level passes have become inadequate today. For instance there are 6,471 students with 3A passes from commerce stream when only around 5000 total seats are available for university admission. This proves that O/Level students and parents must be proactive and consider alternative higher education options.

According to UGC statistics only around 9% of students who sit for A/Level examinations gain university admission. More than 91% students who sit for A/Level examinations fail to achieve their university admissions. Today, many students and parents have understood the true nature of such competitive examinations.
