burgeoning middle and upper middle class population, the demand for black tea consumption in China is increasing rapidly.
This year’s International tea Convention to be held for the 13th successive year in Pu’er, China is focusing heavily on “Black Tea”.
Industry veteran, Dr. Dan Seevaratnam who is the Chief Executive Officer of Watawala Plantations PLC has been invited as the sole representative from Sri Lanka to address the Global Black Tea, “CEO Forum”.
This forum is to be attended by over 600 delegates from all parts of the world, not only from the tea growing countries but also from the tea consuming countries.
Dr. Dan Seevaratnam is among the nine distinguished personalities to be invited by the International Tea Committee to address this prestigious forum, which is to be held from 25th to 27th May 2013.
This opportunity is indeed a singular honour not only for the Sri Lankan Tea Industry but also for Sri Lanka itself, being one of the largest exporters of Black Tea in the world.
