“Rathu Hattakari” goes on the boards
View(s):“Rathu Hattakari” a popular and entertaining drama in the 80s which was written and directed by Lucien Bulathsinghala with the music composition of the late Austin Munasinghe, will be staged on Sunday May 5 at 7.00 pm at Lionel Wendt Theater, Colombo 07.
Niroshan Wijesinghe, Ishara Wickramasinghe, Jayanath Bandara, Gamini Samarakoon, Anura Bandara Rajaguru, Tiran Warnajith, Buddhika Premathilake, Naraka Senarathne, Subuddhi Lakmali, Randima Thilini and Pinsara Samarasekera are in the new cast while costume designing will be handled by Sumithra Subasinghe.
With Harsha Bulathsinghala’s recreation of the original music, Buddhadasa Galappathi is in charge of makeup, Upali Herath set design and Newton Gunasekera stage management. “Rathu Hattakari” is presented by Serenity Entertainment. Tickets are available at Lionel Wendt Theatre and all seats have been box planed.
