SLT Rainbow Pages launches Tourist Directory 2013/14

SLT Rainbow Pages has launched a comprehensive Tourist Directory 2013/14 with the aim of providing much needed information including contact telephone numbers of important institutions in the island.

The latest edition is encyclopedic in content and includes a comprehensive range of easy to find information on anything a tourist might need to know when visiting Sri Lanka, said Malraj Balapitiya, CEO SLT publications.

He expressed the belief that this directory, a first of its kind published in Sri Lanka, will project a positive image of the nation to overseas visitors and be a boon to the fast developing tourist industry of Sri Lanka by supporting the efforts of the Government.

The 481- page tourist directory comprises of two sections. The first section, which carries details about Sri Lanka, its history, sites and areas of attraction, has been allocated 249 pages, whereas the remaining pages carry the directory’s listing contents
“As a special feature, we have included pages that depict the history on sites and places including the attractions in Sri Lanka with attractive full colour photographs that would be of special interest to tourists,” Mr Balapitiya said.

The directory contains a wide range of information on weather patterns, exchange rates, rules and regulations of the country, he added .
