View(s):The curtains came down on much talked about Jaffna Music Festival 2013 (JMF ’13).JMF was held at the Jaffna Municipal Grounds on 1 and 2 March, drawing a large number of visitors on both days.Morning programmes showcased music groups performing on four stages simultaneously, while the evening programme had all the musicians and dancers perform on the main centre stage.
A wide variety of music groups from all over the island were an integral part of the festival in addition to international musicians and groups from Norway, Palestine, Bangladesh, India and Brazil. The Jaffna Music Festival 2013 was presented by the Sewalanka Foundation in collaboration with Rikskonsertene (Concerts Norway) and Aru Sri Art Theatre of Jaffna. Pix by Indika Handuwala
