Taking the ordinary classroom education to new heights, NSBM’s first year student’s batch of BSc in Business Management (Special) Degree organized the Inspiro’13 addressing the young enthusiast entrepreneurs. Students organized the workshop under the theme “Be the change-Make a difference” in order to accomplish the module Critical Enabling and Skills Training (CREST). Workshop was held on January 31, 2013 at the NSBM premises in the presence of many distinguished patronages.

The workshop was conducted throughout the day under the several segments ranging from presentations, role plays, and guest speeches conducted by prominent entrepreneurs and many other activities. Dr. Ravi Liyanage, CEO of the Kingdom of Raigam and Mr. Bathiya Jayakody and Mr. Santhush Weeraman, BnS partners added the elegance to the occasion as guest speakers. Guest speakers conducted interactive sessions with students where they generously shared their views on present and past experiences and challenges they are facing as Sri Lankan entrepreneurs.

The students worked together at their fullest capacity in order to make the event a success. Workshop has given a great exposure as well as heap of experiences to the students to mould their personalities as well as entrepreneurial skills.

NSBM is way beyond than the ordinary classroom learning offered at many other institutes as we believe it is a compulsory to keep the student’s engagement to all kinds of extracurricular activities to bring their best personalities out while providing opportunities to explore the hidden talents in themselves.

For the first time in Sri Lanka, the concept of the ‘Green University Town’ will get underway by 2014 with NSBM, at the completion of its constructions on 26 acres at Homagama with the capacity to accommodate 30,000 undergraduates to study in the state of the art university class rooms and library facilities. Stirring the local higher education progress to new heights, NSBM will commence the Green university town with its best capacity accommodating local & foreign students making their university life truly memorable and worthwhile. It is an enormous experience for local students planning to migrate, to stay back in the country and get the world class university familiarity & exposure in locally. Not only the state of art class rooms, vast study areas, biggest ever experienced freedom and relaxing environments set at libraries, walking areas, technically developed and equipped computer labs with free Wi-Fi connection, modern auditoriums; but large spaces for student activities as play areas and open areas for sporting and leisure time spending activities will also be a part of the Green University Town commencing in 2014.

Being the degree school of NIBM, NSBM promises and assure a secured future to the youth of Sri Lanka with bigger dreams to grow under the wings of a trusted national business school; as we only get Bigger and Better.
