PS chief, 7 suspects to be indicted

The suspects involved in the killing of the British tourist Khuram Shaikh Zaman and the sexual assault on his Russian partner Victoria Alexandravona on Christmas Eve last year will be indicted soon.
Additional Solicitor General Suhada Gamlath told the Sunday Times that the indictments will be served on the suspects in one month’s time. The eight suspects including the Tangalle Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman were enlarged on bail by the Tangalle High Court on November 19.
They have been asked to report to the Tangalle Police Station on the first and third Sundays of each month and warned not to intimidate the witnesses, as a part of the bail conditions.
