Rise of the Guardians, an epic adventure tells the story of a group of well-known childhood heroes (Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Jack Frost and Sandman) – each with their own extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch (also known as The Boogeyman) lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world.

‘Rise of the Guardians’ will also mark the last DreamWorks Animation film to be distributed by Paramount Pictures, as DreamWorks Animation has signed a 5-year distribution deal with 20th Century Fox, starting in 2013.
