Cambrian rowers do well in Pakistan

Prince of Wales College, Moratuwa won 15 medals including 2 Gold, 4 Silver and 9 Bronze at the 4th Asian Schools Rowing Regatta held in Karachi, Pakistan recently.

A gathering took place to felicitate the team on their arrival to Sri Lanka recently.

Thirty five groups participated in this event in Karachi and five schools represented Sri Lanka.

Addressing the gathering, the principal of Prince of Wales College Mr. Sampath Weeragoda said: “Prince of Wales College students have always kept the reputation of the school. Now they have done extremely well in Pakistan. It is a great achievement and honour not only to the school but to the country as well”.

The captain of the team Dewshan Buddharange thanked the coach, parents, principal and the teachers for the co-operation extended to them in this event.
