‘99/9’, a tale of a house with hilarious scenes
View(s):Actor and director Wasantha Moragoda’s latest tele production ‘99/9’, a teleplay revolving around many amusing incidents that happens in a house numbered ‘99/9’ is now being telecast ever Sunday at 7 pm on Swarnavahini.
Starring a mixture of veteran and up and coming cast including W. Jayasiri, Richard Manamudali, Saman Ekanayake, Menike Attanayake, Piyumi Shanika Botheju and Nirosha Thalagala in the main cast, ‘99/9’ narrates around a family of three women who rent out a house for the main purpose of their security and many interesting incidents that unfolds thereafter.
Chitraa, Vichithra and Sachitraa are three female family members who have lost their father. They reside in an annexe belonging to 24-year-old marketing manager Sampath Batugedara, largely because of the security factor.
Philip and Elapatha Liyanawady who also reside with Sampath in residence number 99/9 get along as one family unit. Philip is a member of a funeral band while Elapatha Liyanawadu is a teledrama script writer. The age gap among the three, their tastes, their addictions and their viewpoints on various issues are uniquely different.
This hilarious tele drama unfolds the amusing twists and turns associated with the day-to-day problems and incidents the three males and three females face in this residence.
Art directed by Sahan Bellangama and Merril Susantha, Dhanushka N. Perera and Chathura M. Fernando are assistant directors and Chandana Dilshan is the editor of the teledrama. Jayaratne Galagedara coordinated ‘99/9’, a creation by MDC Media.
