Hatton National Bank nosed to a close 50 to 47 point win over Nations Trust Bank to emerge women’s champions in the final of the MSBA League Tournament 2012 at the Otter Aquatic Club on Friday. At the short whistle HNB held a slim 19 to 18 point lead.

Kumarine Silva with 15 points and Dilan Fernando 10 were on target for HNB. For NTB the best shooters were Shanika Jayasekera and Watsala Dananjala with 15 points each, while Nisansala Hewalunuwilage added 12 a further 12.
Anjali Ekanayake was adjudged the most outstanding player. – BM
