Nadeeka Danushika, Lakshan de Silva and Kavindya Ranasinghe will go down in the history D.S. Senanayake College as they by the form of their school’s rowing team enjoyed a rare feat. They for the first time in history won three silver medals at the Asia Pacific Rowing Championship APRC held in Karachchi, Pakistan last week. This is the first time that oarsmen from D.S. Senanayake won medals at any international rowing competition. The three-member D.S. Senanayake rowing team was led by Nadeeka Danushika while Lakshan de Silva and Kavindya Ranasinghe were the other members of the side. The competition was held at Karachi Boat Club, Lalazar in Karachi Pakistan from September 6 to 8.
