C & C:Dances to the saeson

‘C & C’, led by Chandani and Chaminda, is ranked one of Sri Lanka’s top dance bands. The band consists of singing sensation Chandani Hettiarachchi, who leads from the front in singing, along with her daughter Jacqualine and Dextor. Chaminda Hemaratne professional keyboardist leads the band, with Shezry on bass, Channa on lead and Manjula on drums.

‘C & C’ is a popular choice for weddings, dances and family fuctions. The band is well known in Colombo and Negombo hotel circuits. They also perform at a large number of dinner dances during the past few months and are booked to perform at the Terrace of Mount Lavinia Hotel on 31 December New Years Eve Dinner Dance.

They are extremely versatile and talented at performing an extensive range of music from 70’to present day. ‘We are specialized in retro in which we colour it with fine pop, country, semi rock, blues, reggae and rock music too. But still according to the audiences we, perform new age music and Sinhala songs too’ Chandani said.

Their refrom the most fabulous bands like ABBA, Boney M, Bee Gees, Doobie Brothers, Bob Marley, Eagles, Celine Dion, Madonna, Sade, Bryan Adams, UB 40 etc….They have their own original hit songs and also do popular Sri Lankan songs as well.

Apart from their private functions, they also a regular attraction at the Cinnamon Lakeside on every Sunday and Colombo Hilton on Tuesdays, Wednesdays as a Trio and full band on Thursday at Echelon Pub of the Hilton C&C is starting to grow popular outside of Sri Lanka as the band now gets lots of requests to perform overseas which they do several times a year.
