AIT offers world class BSc Engineering Degrees in Sri Lanka

For the first time in the Engineering education in Sri Lanka, an opportunity is now available to earn world class BSc. Engineering and IT degrees from a prestigious foreign university by studying in Sri Lanka.
The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand is now offering a wide range of high standard engineering and IT degrees, partnering with Sri Lanka's first purpose built 'Green' university campus, South Asian Institute of Technology and Management (SAITM) at Malabe.

AIT, where many high performing graduates from state universities in Sri Lanka enter for their postgraduate studies, are venturing out for the first time in their illustrious history of 50 years into undergraduate studies, in view of the great potential envisaged for the emerging Asian economies. AIT offers the following degree programmes in which Sri Lankan students can now complete the first phase at SAITM in Sri Lanka and then proceed to AIT in Thailand to complete the degree.
All courses are of 4 years duration, which is the acceptable study period for any recognized BSc Engineering degree.

SAITM, with all the modern infrastructure and laboratory facilities to conduct the first phase of the programmes, is served by a highly qualified academic staff recruited from among the best in the state universities. Further, the visiting faculty comprises top level professors and senior lecturers from state as well as foreign universities.

AIT will provide in campus hostel facilities when the students transfer for the final phase of the degree programme. In addition, AIT will also offer comprehensive training opportunities in leading industries in the region and will offer scholarships for students who wish to follow Master's and PhD degrees.
A registration for the 3rd intake of students is now open.

Minimum entry qualifications would be, 3 passes in A/L mathematics stream for Engineering degree programmes and 3 passes in A/L any stream for the IT and Computer Science degree programme.
