Dig your toes in the sand and kick up your heels…its party time! The much awaited Hikkaduwa Beach Fest 09 is here again, for the second time around - even bigger and better, which offers you a reason to party all day long.

Following the success of last year’s Hikkaduwa Beach Fest which attracted more than 10,000 people, this year’s Beach Fest, organized by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, is set to take place from July 30 to August 2. Held on the southern coastal strip of the country, Sri Lanka’s biggest beach festival has flown in International artists and Djs into Sri Lanka especially for the four day mega event.

The event attracts a diverse demographic ranging from children to adults. The beach festival includes various activities, which range from beach raves, theme parties, a drum festival and day time carnivals for families, with special activities for kids including a beach sports festival with volleyball, netball, football and rugby, which will be the key highlight of this year’s festival, to all those who seek fun and fiesta.

The much anticipated themed entertainment parties start at 12 noon. It’s a 24 hour show with Space, Paradise, House Orchestra and RnB/Hip Hop/Retro being the main theme nights. This is the first time that Space IBIZA, Paradise IBIZA and House Orchestra Paris will be on tour in Asia.

The Beach Rave will be held on July 31 with internationally renowned DJs such as DJ Dean Jon, DJ Lee Freeland, DJ Rebekah, DJ Edele Andaya, DJ Lucy Arrowsmith and DJ Acee including Alchemic storm, Jose De Divine, Oscar Colorado, Juan Gomeza and Amed Tato Merenco from Brazil, all set to perform.
