Dulanjana and Dilan steer Navy - Sara Champions Trophy Final

A five wicket haul by left arm leggie Dulanjana Mendis followed by a half ton from Dilan Chandima helped Navy to record an easy four wicket win over United Southern SC Galle in the final of the Sara Champions trophy limited over tournament played at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

United Southern SC sent into bat first were restricted to a score of 142 with Dulanjan doing the damage taking 5 for 26. Navy in their run chase saw Dilan cracking a 59 to reach the target in the 37th over. This was the first time that Navy won a major cricket title in a tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket.

Navy 145 for 6 in 36.3 overs (Dilan Chandima 59, Mahesh Perera 21, Ranil Rasanga 22 n.o.: Malith Cooray 3 for 32)
