Bus crashes into tree, killing one

One person was killed and 45 others injured when a speeding public passenger bus crashed into a tree in Habarana in the early hours of yesterday morning, according to police and hospital sources.
The state-operated CTB bus was heading to Colombo from Polonnaruwa.

The passenger who died was identified as a member of the Civil Defence Force.
