Darling "sure" of progress at G20 show

HORSHAM, England, March 14, (AFP) - British finance minister Alistair Darling said he was "quite sure" of progress on tackling the economic slowdown as he opened the G20 meeting, amid divisions between the US and Europe.

"I'm quite sure that today we will make progress as part of the lead up to the meeting of leaders and finance ministers in London at the beginning of April," Darling told reporters as the G20 meeting of finance ministers opened.
