Mateesha hits century in wickets - Ananda complete 10th outright win

Ananda left arm spinner Mateesha Perera became the first schoolboy cricketer to take 100 wickets in the ongoing Under 19 inter-school cricket season. He reached the magical 100 in the post lunch session on day two of their match against Dharmarajah at Ananda Mawatha yesterday.

In the process Mateesha finished with a match bag of 9 for 100 to take his tally to 102 wickets as Ananda pulled off a five wicket win to notch up their tenth outright victory for the season.

DSS dominate
DSS dominated the proceedings against Dharmapala in their Under 19 encounter concluded at Pannipitiya which ended in a tame draw. DSS resuming from their overnight score of 166 for 4 went on to make a massive 372 for 7 before declaring to Dharmapala’s 164.
