Mandara for aquatic Adventure

Aquatic adventure is the latest craze of the adventure travellers of Sri Lanka. Whale and Dolphin watching off South coast has become more and more popular. To the much splendour of Sri Lanka, Whale and Dolphin watching off southern coast paved the way to attract the world of ‘Whale and Dolphin watchers’ to Sri Lanka. Mirissa is no longer a traditionally ‘fisherman's haven’. It has become the paradise of rich high end people. A couple of luxury boutique hotels have come up in the beautiful hill side of Mirissa, creating more opportunities to the people of the area.

‘Wild Asia’ released in DVD format

‘Wild Asia’, a television programme highlighting the need to protect our fauna and flora has released itsfirst few chapters in DVD format. Released as Volume 1 of the series, the DVD contains a number of programmes telecast every Sunday from 6.30 pm to 7 pm on Rupavahini. A production of Soul of Asia Enterprises, the fauna friendly TV programme is presented by veteran announcer and compeer Arun Dias Bandaranayake. ‘Our mission is to protect fauna and flora which is an integral part of our planet’ said programme director Padmalatha Abeysinghe.
