NSB’s 54th anniversary welcomes newborns with savings
View(s):In line with the ‘NSB Senehase Dayada – 2026’ initiative, a special commemorative programme was recently organised at the premises of Lanka Hospitals under the patronage of the National Savings Bank, marking the 54th Anniversary of the bank, it said in a media release.
Now conducted for the sixth consecutive year, the ‘NSB Senehase Dayada’ programme continues to create a lasting impact by supporting families during one of the most significant moments in their lives. As part of this year’s programme, NSB Hapan Savings Accounts were gifted to babies born between March 16 and 31, 2026, each account being opened with an initial contributory deposit of Rs. 2,000/- by the bank.
This initiative was not limited to a single location but was simultaneously implemented through NSB’s extensive islandwide branch network, ensuring that beneficiaries across the country could take part in the program.
Through this initiative, NSB aims to nurture the future generation of the nation, encouraging a culture of savings, financial discipline, and knowledge from infancy, thereby contributing to building a financially secure and empowered society.
