Veteran correspondent felicitated in Nuwara Eliya
View(s):Provincial correspondent for the Sunday Times, Shelton Hettiarachchi from Nuwara Eliya, author of many books on Nuwara Eliya landmarks, was felicitated for his services by the District Secretariat.
Mr Hettiarchachi has published short story books, and served as a correspondent at the Sunday Times since it was established. He also worked for the Lankadeepa newspaper.

Senior officials at Nuwara Eliya District Secretariat felicitated Mr Hettiarachchi recognising his 40-year service as a writer and journalist.
The ceremony was held at the Nuwara Eliya District Secretariat auditorium. Nuwara Eliya Additional District Secretaries (Administration) Dinika Kavisekera, (Lands) Shalika Lindakumbura, Bhashini Samarasekera, Chief Accountant C A D Damayanthi, Accountant W G Ashoka, District Assistant Labour Commissioner Pubodhani Dhanapala presented Mr Hettiarachchi with a token of appreciation.
