British play ‘Black Prince’ with Lankan touch

Sinhala stage play ‘Pawulkana Minihek’ produced by veteran playwright E.M.D. Upali will go on the boards on February 28 at 3.30 pm and 6.45 p.m. at Punchi Theatre, Borella.

Based on a famous British play ‘Black Prince’, written by Scottish novelist and playwright Iris Murdoch, which was translated into Sinhala by Prof. J.A.P. Jayasinghe, ‘Pawulkana Minihek’ is produced and organised by Jude Srimal.

Seasoned cast including Sampath Perera (portraying Bradley Pearson) and others including Lakshman Mendis, Nilmini Sigera, Madani Malwattage, Jayanath Bandara, Mihiri Priyangani and Chanu Dissanayake feature in ‘Pawulkana Minihek’.

Music is composed by Theja Buddhika Rodrigo, while behind the screen, Pradeep Chandrasiri, set designer, Ama Wijesekara as costume designer, stage lighting by Ranga Kariyawasam, make-up by Sumedha Hewavitharana and Lakmal Ranaraja performs as the stage manager.

Produced and presented by Jude Srimal, tickets are available at the Theatre gates on the day of the show and online tickets via Myseat.lk.
