Gamani Corea Foundation, SLEA to collaborate in 2026
View(s):The Gamani Corea Foundation announced its collaboration with the SLEA (Sri Lanka Economic Association), for 2026. The collaboration began with the SLEA’s annual international conference, held on February 6, on the theme “Transforming the Services Sector for Economic Recovery in Sri Lanka”.
The SLEA was founded in 1985, with Dr Gamani Corea being its founder president, with the objective of being an independent economic think-tank, serving the people of Sri Lanka. The SLEA council meetings shall be held at the Gamani Corea Foundation, following in the footsteps of Dr Gamani Corea who would regularly host economists, and intellectuals at the Horton Lodge.
GCF Emeritus Chairperson, Dr Nimal Sanderatne and former GCF board member, Dr Saman Kelegama served as SLEA presidents.
