Feast of Our Lady of Purification

The 164th annual feast of Our Lady of Purification, Nayakankanda – Wattala, was celebrated on Feb 8, led by chief celebrant, Rev Fr Lalith Felix, Vicar of Wattala – Jaela region.
The event was organised under the guidance of Rev Fr Terrence Bodiyabaduge, Parish Priest of Nayakakanda. Ven Higgoda Chandima Thero, Chief Incumbent of Hendala Temple attended to ensure interfaith harmony.
The picture shows lighting oil lamp before the festive Mass followed by a procession with the statue of Our Lady after the Mass.
