A Christmas offering from the De Lanerolles
White, gold and champagne hues adorned the Colombo Hilton’s ballroom as the De Lanerolle brothers put on an electrifying show themed ‘ Can’t Wait for Christmas’ on November 24.
The singing sibling duo Rohan and Ishan, whose musical journey has taken them to many corners of the world including performances at the Carnegie Hall in the U.S.A to St John’s Smith Square in London, themed their pre-Christmas musical extravaganza ‘Can’t Wait for Christmas – A Lively Blend of Pop and Festive Cheer’ to celebrate their 16-year musical journey together.

They sang to a full house with Christmas songs reverberating through the hall with crowds joining in clapping and singing along.
The crowd was entertained to a vibrant selection of pop hits and timeless festive classics such as Mary’s Boy Child, Jingle Bells, White Christmas, Silent Night and many more. Time flew during the three hours of entertainment with the Brothers backed by their talented band members Shobi Perera (bass) and Director of DLB Squared, Christo Prins (drums), Tilanka Jayamanne (flute and saxophone), Lydia Goonetilleke Jayamanne (violin), Nuwan Galappaththi (keyboard) and Ranil Vas (guitar).
The icing on the cake was Rohan’s son Yohan and Ishan’s daughter Khalia joining their fathers to wind up the show with a beautiful rendition of the Christmas favourite Feliz Navidad. Kumar de Silva compering with his customary flair added to the entertainment to make it a memorable night.
