Lyceum Wattala claim All-Island School Athletics overall girls’ championship
View(s):Lyceum International School, Wattala once again demonstrated its athletic excellence by emerging Overall Girls’ Champions at the All-Island School Athletic Championship 2025, securing an impressive 213 points. The Lyceum Wattala athletes displayed remarkable teamwork, determination, and a winning spirit throughout the competition, also clinching the title of Girls Relay champions, showcasing their dominance in both track and field events.
Adding to the school’s glory, Jithma Wijethunga delivered a series of outstanding performances that earned her the title of Under-20 Girl’s Overall Champion as well as the most prestigious honour of the meet, the Best Athlete of the Year. Her exceptional skill, consistency, and leadership were pivotal in the Lyceum Wattala teams overall success. This remarkable achievement stands as yet another testament to the school’s unwavering commitment to excellence in athletics, guided by a culture of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
