Diabetes programme and free checks
View(s):An awareness programme on diabetes for the public will be held on Nov 14 (Friday), from 8 am to 2.30 pm at the premises of the Organization of Professional Associations (OPA), 275/75, Prof Stanley Wijesundara Mawatha, Colombo 7.
People will be able to get their blood pressure and blood sugar checked as well as foot and eye examinations. Expert advice will also be provided on the ideal weight for each person’s height and also on complications of diabetes.
The programme has been organised by the Primary Care Diabetes Group Sri Lanka (PCDGSL) consisting of General Practitioners (GPs) with an interest in diabetic care.
It is free of charge and all are welcome.
