Waasawa Baduge’s maiden film ‘Neera’, a story of a young man who is trapped between the past of his life and the present based on a story written by Sumithra Rahubaddhe.
Unable to escape a memory from his past, a young man named Megha builds a successful married life with Praneethi, a nationally renowned dancer. However, their happiness is challenged when his old friend Rashmi, the only person who knows all the secrets of his past, reappears after many years. Trapped between a tangible reality and an intangible dream, Megha’s journey unfolds an unwritten chapter of love, filled with secrets, sacrifice, and heartache.
Produced by Lalinda Wijewickrama and Hiruni Sithara, with music directed by Yasas Medagedara, the film stars Shanudrie Priyasad, Zenith Gajaweera, Kasuni Kavindi Fernando and Piyumali Edirisinghe in the lead roles.
