View(s):Lil Nas in Rehab After Court Absence
Lil Nas, the hip-hop and country rap artist, is in rehab. It was disclosed by his lawyer at the Van Nuys court in Los Angeles on 15th September. Lil Nas 26, whose real name is Montero Hill, did not appear in court. He was arrested on 21st August, for assaulting police officers after he was found wandering on the road naked after an alleged overdose. The next court hearing is on November 18. Nas won a Grammy award for his song ‘Old Town Road’ with Billy Ray Cyrus in 2020. He had two more chart-topping songs. He has a new album, ‘Dreamboy’, pending. Several singles released ahead have failed badly.
Sam Fender Pioneers All-Electric Tour Transport
Sam Fender became the first artist to use all-electric lorries to transport stage equipment on his recent People Watching tour. Four Mercedes Benz electric lorries covered 900 miles between four cities, Manchester to Edinburgh and Belfast to Stradbally, Ireland on the UK tour.
Gorillaz Announce New Album and UK Tour
Gorillaz, the animated band comprising the voices of Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, have released a single titled ‘The Happy Dictator’. The virtual group also announced their ninth album ‘The Mountain’, which will be out on 20th March 2026, and a tour of the UK and Ireland is expected to commence on 21st March in Manchester, England. The animated members of Gorillaz are 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs. The band has had five Top 10 UK hit songs, including the chart topping ‘Dare’ in 2005.
Sabrina Carpenter Secures Ninth UK Top 10 Hit
The power of Sabrina Carpenter’s new album ‘Man’s Best Friend’ continues to influence in the second of release as the song ‘When Did You Get Hot’ debuted as the highest entry on the UK singles chart this week at No.9. Though it is not an official release, the streaming and downloads have helped the track become the ninth Top 10 UK hit song for the 26 year old US artist. Like last week, Carpenter has three songs on the UK Top 10.
Sombr Scores Third UK Top 10 with ’12 To 12’
Sombr, the 20 year old New York-born artist, scored his third UK Top hit with ’12 To 12’ as it climbed up the chart from 12 to No.10 this week. Sombr penned the new wave/synthpop track himself and co-produced it with Tony Berg. ’12 To 12’ is the fourth release off Sombr’s album ‘I Barely Know Her’. The track was performed live at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York on 5th September.
