Young dancers of Antonio’s Dance Circle shine at KL ballroom comp
View(s):A talented group of young dancers from Antonio’s Dance Circle (ADC) did Sri Lanka proud at the 5th Kuala Lumpur City International Ballroom Dance Championship held at the Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur on August 16.
The team, comprising Aaron Fernandez, Hailey Saparamadu, Raneth Pieris, Sasha Gunathilake, Methuja Rageeth, Tamara Welagedara, Talia Pieris, Thisanda Rajapakse and Shenali Weeraratne delivered outstanding performances across multiple categories winning several medals and titles that included 10 Gold, 6 Silver, and 3 Bronze medals, along with several finalist placings.

Founded in 1995 by Antonio (Toni) Fernandez, the first professional dancer to represent Sri Lanka overseas, Antonio’s Dance Circle (ADC) teaches both Latin and Standard Ballroom to advanced and professional levels. ADC has represented Sri Lanka at championships in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Thailand and other countries, consistently bringing home medals. The preschool for young dancers is led by Michelle Mortier.
