Theatrical response to issues in Education

A theatrical presentation on the complex and confusing state of Sri Lanka’s education system, ‘Vikurthi’ produced by the late playwright Somalatha Subasinghe will go on boards at 8.15 a.m. and 10.45 a.m. on August 27 at Negombo Town Hall theatre.
With host of popular artistes such as, Kaushalya Fernando, Prasannajith Abesooriya, Namal Jayasinghe, Geetha Alahakoon, Sulochana Weerasinghe, Migara Kanchana, Vikrama Senevirathne, Sanjaya Hettiarachchi, Nimmi Priyadarshani, Dilip Kumara, Dilum Buddka, Harsha Thennakoon along with trained new actors of the Play House Kotte.
Behind the screen lighting effects by Chandana Aluthge, the musical direction of the semi-musical is M.R. Chulasinghe. A family drama which can be viewed and enjoyed by audiences of various levels and is organised by Jude Srimal.
