Pera University, French Embassy discuss alliances
View(s):Discussions have been held between the French Embassy in Sri Lanka and the University of Peradeniya on promoting French cultural activities, signing agreements with French entities, and future research collaborations for Lankan academics.
The possibility for French teaching support for the university degree programmes was also discussed at the meeting between the representatives of the French embassy and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Peradeniya Prof Terrence Madhujith.
Cultural and Cooperation Counsellor of the French Embassy Olivia Bellemere and Director of the Alliance Française de Kandy Paul Rochelemagne represented the embassy.
Director International Relations Prof Sanjeewa Malaviarachchi and Director-University Quality Assurance Unit Dr Ruwantha Kulathunga, Head of the Department of Classical Languages Ven Dr Jambugahapitiye Dhammaloka, and Dr Priyadarshani Premarathne of the Department of Sociology joined the discussion.
