New examinations chief starts work

Ms Subhashini Liyanage
The new Commissioner General of Examinations, Subhashini Liyanage, assumed duties on Thursday.
She previously served as an examinations commissioner in the department. Ms Liyanage is the first woman to hold this position. Former Commissioner General Amith Jayasundara retired from service on May 6.
