Velunachchiyar, under the leadership of Savita Sasikumar, won the annual netball championship organised by the past students of Vivekananda College, Colombo. Velunachchiyar defeated Arya by 13-8 in the final as Nilambari secured third place beating Kalasthika.The prizes were given away by the Principal of Vivekananda College, M. Muventhan, President of the Past Students’ Association Meenachchi Sundaram and Chief Guest Parimala Ananthamoorthi.
