2 brothers die in car accident

Two young brothers, studying abroad, tragically lost their lives in a horrific car accident early yesterday morning in a motor accident near the Kamburapola bridge on the Kuliyapitiya-Hettipola road early yesterday morning (23).
The incident occurred around 1 a.m. when the Toyota Land Cruiser luxury jeep that was being driven by one of them overturned and fell into the Buthgamuwa Oya.
The victims were identified as a 27-year-old studying in Japan and his 25-year-old brother, studying in Australia. They had come to Sri Lanka just a week before on vacation.
The brothers were heading to Hettipola after attending a party in the Wennappuwa area when the accident occurred. Police said according to witnesses the jeep was travelling at a high speed and hit several electrical poles before going off the road and plunging into the Buthgamuwa Oya.
