A lesson to be learnt: Teachers and principals protest

Teachers and principals this week renewed their protest campaign with a string of demands, including the payment of arrears due to them, and calling for higher budget allocations for the education sector. The protest was held outside the Education Ministry. Eventually the Police used tear gas to disperse the protestors. Pic by Akila Jayawardena
