‘Dream Night’ tours to America
View(s):‘Sihina Rathri’ (‘Dream Night’), a charity musical concert is all set to tour number of cities in the United States from July 15 to August 5.
It is organised by ‘Asian Friendly Art Foundation’, based in the USA and operated in Europe, In recent months ‘Sihina Rathri’ has been touring in Sweden, Italy, the UK and Sri Lanka and ‘Asian Friendly Art Foundation’ is now keen to take the ‘Sihina Rathri’ with series of tours outside Europe and the US.
Popular actor Uddika Premaratne, singer Gayan Gunawardena, Adithya Weliwatte and Nuwandika Senarathe will feature at the ‘Dream Night’ Concert in America. The USA based Sri Lankan teledrama producer Kumari Panditharathne initiated the Asian Friendship Art Foundation and the President of Sri Lankan branch is well-known announcer Mahesh Nissanka, while the post of Secretary is lyrics writer Ravi Siriwardena.
Ten shows of ‘Dream Night’ had been performed in different parts of Sri Lanka during the past years and part of the proceeds had been donated for the development of hospitals, schools, temples and other religious institutions. ‘Likewise, part of the proceeds from all concerts are being channelled for charity work in Sri Lanka’ said Dinesh Gamage, the coordinator of the Sri Lankan branch.
