4th World Military Beach VB C’ship in Negombo

The 4th CISM World Military Beach Volleyball Championship starting tomorrow, hosted by Sri Lanka, in Negombo, will see a new champion being crowned since Brazil, the defending champions, will not be in contention this time. The competition will be held for the first time in Sri Lanka from the February 13 to 17 at the Negombo beach.

Spikers representing Colombia, Germany, France, Netherlands, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and hosts, Sri Lanka compete in the competition which consist 52 matches in total.

Sri Lanka, having recorded their best performance as quarter-finalist in the second edition, will be fielding two teams from each men’s and women’s. The awards ceremony will be held on Thursday (17) at Goldi Sands Hotel at 10.00a.m.
