Lyceum Wattala dominate International Schools Swimming 2022

Lyceum International School, Wattala won the highest number of medals, a total of 76, at the Inter-International School Swimming Championship 2022 which concluded at the Sugathadasa Swimming Pool Complex last weekend.

Lyceum Wattala claimed 29 gold, 23 silver and 24 bronze medals in the two-day event organised by Asian International School this year. This event consisted of a large number of participants representing the international schools of The International Schools of
Sri Lanka (TISSL).

Lyceum Wattala renewed their record of being the top in the ninth consecutive year at this event. The champion school swimming squad was represented by 62 members from the age groups of Under-10, Under-12, Under-14, Under-16 and Under-20, in both boys and girls categories.

Lyceum Wattala was followed by Lyceum Nugegoda, who won a total of 64 medals and Lyceum Ratnapura, who claimed a total of 40 medals at second and third positions respectively. Gateway College Colombo, Lyceum Panadura and hosts Asian international School followed behind the top three Lyceum schools. A total of 22 schools participated with over 800 swimmers representing their respective schools.
