The final batch of the league round matches of the 7th Stafford Motor Co. sponsored, ‘Honda’ Trophy MCA ‘G’ division 25 Over League Tournament 2017 was marred by rain, thus five games ended sans a result.

The top performers for the week-end were: Trevin Fernando from HNB ‘B’ (104 in 51 balls, inclusive of six sixes and twelve fours Vs.CEAT Kelani), Trevin together with Dinesh Panditharatne put on 127 runs for the 3rd wicket in 73 balls as HNB ‘B’ finished their 25 overs on a high note – 213 for 5. Nadeeka Sampath from Mobitel ‘B’ (76 in 53 balls inclusive of six sixes and four fours Vs. Pearson Lanka), the opening stand of 137 runs in 92 balls between K. Shabeekan (55) and K. Kariyawasam (67) from HNB Assurance Vs. Jetwing Travels; opening bowler, Sachitha Caldera from ShipXpress (5-0-1-5 Vs. Avian Technologies).

The top team score was 253 for 7 in 25 by HNB Assurance Vs. Jetwing Travels and the lowest was 59 all out in 13.5 overs by Avian Technologies Vs. ShipXpress.   - LR
