Girls champions Sri Sumangala College Panadura

Center half and skipper Sammani Wasundara powered Sri Sumangala Girls school Panadura to wrap up the girls title in the all island under 18 hockey tournament with a 1-0 win over fancied Vishaka Vidyalaya Bambalapitiya in the girls final which was played prior to the boys final.

The girl’s semi-finals saw Vishakians beating Seetha Devi girls Kandy 1-0 and Sri Sumangala girls Panadura outplaying Janadhipathi Balika Nawala 3-2 on penalties to qualify for the finals.

Seetha Devi won the third place play off beating Janadhipathi Balika Nawala 3-2 on penalties after the match ended nil all draw at full time.
