The Kalpage family donated a bowling machine to St. Anthony’s College Katugastota at a simple ceremony held in the College hall. The Kalpage family consists of – Sena – who played for Nalanda in the early 1960s, sons – Ruwan – Sri Lanka, former captain of St. Anthony’s in 1987/88 and 1988/89 and Nuwan – former captain of St. Anthony’s in 1991.

Incidentally, the current skipper of the Antonian side, Nimesha Gunasinghe, is Sena’s grandson. Picture shows Sena Kalpage handing over the bowling machine to the Principal Rev. Fr. Henry Wijeratne. To the left are skipper Nimesha and present Antonian coach Tharaka Gunaratne. – AK
