Peoples Bank’s YES saving account, targetting young savers in Sri Lanka, has introduced a range of new banking facilities and attractive benefits to the young adults across the country.

Celebrating International Youth Day, which fell on August 12, the bank has declared August 12 to September 11 as the YES month and during this period the bank is offering a host of benefits and promotion for young savers to encourage them to get into the habit of saving.
To launch the month of the young YES Saver a programme was held at Majestic City in Bambalapitya and subsequently in Diyatha Uyana in Battaramulla where a large group of youth gathered to take part in a host of activities which included quiz programme, youth activities and musical show performed by popular young artist.

The People’s Bank YES savings account can be opened with a minimum deposit of Rs. 2,000 and existing “Sisu Udana” accounts will automatically be converted to YES Accounts at the age of 18 years.

Present at the event were People’s Bank corporative and executive management which included N. Vasantha Kumar, CEO/General Manager, and bank employers and customers.
