It is revealed that a certain high official forced himself on a tour Down Under because he wanted to visit his daughter who is studying there. The team that he accompanied fared disastrously even losing to the fast improving Bangladesh side. Before the team left this official did not want to be seen by the press and was seen hiding in the bus that took the team to the airport.

Accident prone
A certain official has been having a series of accidents in his official vehicle and his claims have been so high that higher ups in the scene are kept wondering. It is said that his insurance claims are even higher than the salary he earns at this institution.

More dogs than bones
Athletes who are over the hill and not able to keep pace with the younger lot are planning to make a tour of Malaysia in December. The number of athletes listed to make the tour is around 30 but the strange thing is that there are about 60 officials who are getting ready to go on this tour. It looks as if officials are the favourites to go on tour these days going by the amount of athletes that went to London recently to take part in a key competition.

I-Pods galore
Soon after a key sports series between two neighbouring countries, the TV channel which promoted the matches have been highly satisfied with the reception that they got here that they have been distributing i-pods to all high officials who had made arrangements to get the foreign team to our shores. Some of these officials are now sporting these gifts with pride.

Mummy’s darling
The scene now shifts to a game played with a net and a ball. The team is training to take part in an Asian Championship to be held abroad. A certain official is dead keen on having her daughter included in this team and she is not shy about it. After all, the daughter can at least win a Sri Lanka jersey and can always say that she has represented Sri Lanka in the sport.

Winning is not a joke
In one of the ongoing matches that is famed more for its notoriety, a guy walked into the dressing room after leading his side to victory with a broad smile on his face.Alas! The smile was short lived when he faced the wrath of the franchise owner for wining the match. Why didn’t this batsman know that this is not played for the winning, but the stakes behind the money bag!!

Life is so beautiful
There is a new trend in a key competition that is being played in the island these days. Soon after the matches are over a host of film actresses and pretty damsels descend on the grounds and take away these players to sing and dance and simply enjoy. The action is so good that the players themselves wait for the matches to be over to be with these beauties. Oh what a beautiful life!
