St. Benedict’s College posted a 79 to 73 points win over Colombo International School to emerge champions in the under 17 Colombo North Zone Basketball Final worked off at St. Joseph’s Court recently. At the short whistle, the winners led by 41 points to 27.
For St. Benedict’s College Praveen Ganlath was in cracking form with 41 points, while Shalin Kanishka swelled the score with 21.
For Colombo International School, Onello Gilbert led the way with 28 points, while Hasen De Silva added 16.
Onello Gilbert of Colombo International School was adjudged the best offensive player, while Shalin Kanishka and Praveen Ganlath, both of St. Benedict’s were the best defensive and most valuable player respectively.
In the consolation final, St. Joseph’s College defeated D.S. Senanayake College by 65 points. - BM |
